About Me
I am a Cal Poly Humboldt graduate, finishing my Masters in Counseling in 2022. I have experience supporting couples through conflict and making life decisions, with trauma work, anxiety and depression support as well as helping people with identity exploration. I am Japanese American, coming from a multicultural family and understand the impact of cultural pressures. I have supported folks in discussing their identity through childhood into adulthood and enjoy providing guidance to living an authentic life to your values and goals. I also am a parent and understands the complexities of parenthood and how this impacts mental health. Wherever you are in your personal journey, I would be honored to meet you where you are and provide support.

I provide integrative therapy, meaning that I pull from multiple psychotherapy interventions and philosophies to tailor treatment for each person. I pride myself in providing a warm and collaborative approach to therapy and welcome feedback from clients.

I am based in Arcata, CA and see clients in person or through tele-therapy. I offer a free phone consultation to see if we're a good fit and welcome any questions you may have. Please call or email me to connect.

FAQs
Fees and Insurance
I accept Partnership insurance and can provide a reimbursement form for people who do not have Partnership for potential reimbursement. I charge $120 per session 50 minute session for individuals and $140 for a 50 minute session with couples
What are sessions like?
I often start sessions by asking "What feels important to discuss today?" or "How have you been feeling?" Then, there is time to process emotions, discuss coping strategies and intentions for the week ahead. Often, I close sessions with breathing exercises, reviewing of coping strategies or tools to try over the next week.
What is your therapeutic approach?
I am an integrative therapist and pull from many therapy approaches to cater to your needs. However, my foundation of therapy is rooted in relational work. I believe in a collaborative approach and that the impacts felt in the therapy room in the relationship I build with you will create change in your personal relationships.
Who do you have experience working with?
My experience lies in working with adults and teens. I also have been a mediator who has supported couples navigating divorce. I have assisted many people who have experiences of anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, exploring cultural identity difficulties and experience negative impacts from stress.
Resources
When life feels overwhelming, it can be difficult to feel regulated and present. Grounding and orienting to the moment can be helpful. Engage your senses with the exercise linked above.
